Behind the Music—Chinese Poetry and Music
This concert features works by iconic Chinese composers and the stories behind them. The highlights of the show, “Saying Good-Bye to Cambridge Again” and “Song of Gaixia”, are new pieces written by award-winning composer Shirley Choi in tribute to two celebrated poems of the same names. The beautiful performances will immerse you in the world of Chinese poetry, including literary gems by Su Shi, and offer a closer look at China’s diverse arts and culture.
